Executive Director Appointment

BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCEMENT

Mainstream and Gateway’s Board of Directors are delighted to announce the permanent appointment of Margaret Beaupre as Executive Director.
Margaret has a long career in social services, mental health and the developmental services sector. After completing a Business Accounting Program at Niagara College, Margaret began her career at Mainstream in 1990. She went on to complete the Ontario Management Development Leadership certificate from Niagara College and then the Advanced Leadership Program, Business Administration and Management from Queen’s University.

Margaret has taken on leadership roles including Finance Manager for Mainstream and the Director of Finance and Operations for the Gateway and Mainstream Strategic Alliance. Most recently, Margaret has stepped into the role as Interim Executive Director.

Throughout her life, Margaret has been an advocate of volunteerism. She has volunteered with various non-profit agencies, including the Housing Help Centre and Niagara College, Sub Committee for Adult Learning. Leading up to the Alliance in 2021, Margaret also volunteered as the Treasurer for Gateway’s Board, a position she held for over 15 years.

Mainstream and Gateway are fortunate to have an Executive Director who has a thorough understanding of programs and services provided to the people supported within both agencies. Margaret’s dedication and commitment to our agencies and the people who require support from Gateway and Mainstream, is invaluable.

We are confident Margaret has the qualities to lead our teams to further enrich the lives of people supported, and engage with families, employees and all stakeholders, to achieve our agencies strategic objectives.
