Volunteer OpportunitiesWe need volunteers in the following areas: Resource Centre Volunteers Volunteer opportunities are plentiful at Mainstream. The volunteers in the Resource Centre will work as part of a team and may involve assisting with literacy training, lifestyle/leisure activities, vocational preparation, life skill coaching, and guidance for personal development. Do you have a passion for art, music, crafts or a personal hobby? Why not share it with others! We appreciate our volunteers for their time and efforts. Committee Volunteers In order to run successful fundraising events, we need committee volunteers. Administration Volunteers Mainstream's Administration Office is always looking for help in the office with filing, mailings, database input, newsletters and other clerical tasks. These volunteer positions are always available and appreciated. Friendship Sharing Volunteers The goal of the friendship program is to increase our communities appreciation of the gifts that people with developmental disabilities have to offer. We believe this is one step towards promoting social connections between people with disabilities and other members of the community resulting in acceptance, compassion and respect of all people.
