On July 1st 2020 Kevin Berswick officially retired as Executive Director of Mainstream and was replaced by John Osczypko, Executive Director of Gateway. In keeping with the initial goal of the Strategic Alliance that there was to be one Executive Director for both agencies which would be a shared position.
John officially started in his new role on July 2nd, 2020 and currently works on site at Mainstream 3 days per week and at Gateway 2 days per week.
As well Mainstream hired a Finance Support Staff, Donna Paterson. This position is also shared between the two organizations to help support the increased workload.
Another shared position if that of HR Director, Laurie Ryan-Hill who has been with us for 1 year.
Both agencies continue to be separate entities, each having their own Board of Directors and have signed a Shared Services Agreement. A joint Board Working Committee is meeting quarterly to ensure that we our meeting our objectives in moving forward.
In September both agencies hosted a joint AGM with over 80 in attendance. PMB our consultants on the Strategic Alliance presented the final evaluation at that time.
We have had some success’s in support persons who are dually diagnosed another goal of the initiative.
